During the late 1960’s, the only entity that displayed the diversity of musical genres better than Top 40 radio was a group appropriately named The Band with musical influences that ranged from American Folk to Rock, Country to Classical, Psychedelic to Soul, Oompah to OMG vocal harmonies.
The Last Waltz is a tribute to The Band’s farewell concert with 21 of the Chicago area’s top musicians to craft and recreate this powerful piece of rock n’ roll history. This has never been a sad ending, but rather a celebration. The Allman Betts Family Revival is an annual live event extravaganza hosted by the sons of Allman Brothers Band founders Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts, Devon Allman & Duane Betts respectively. Based loosely on vibes that recall “The Last Waltz,” this yearly celebration brings together the finest names in Blues, Americana, Country and Rock to celebrate the timeless catalog of the legendary Allman Brothers Band. Past notable collaborators include Robert Randolph, Marcus King, Jason Isbell, Sierra Hull, Sierra Ferrell, Robin Zander, Tal Wilkenfeld, Charlie Starr and many more. Top Of The World is the World’s Premiere Tribute to The Carpenters! Fronted by singer Debbie Taylor, her Karen Carpenter vocal resemblance is absolutely astonishing. She is backed by a seven piece band consisting of top-notch, professional industry musicians who have had amazing careers in their own right. The band members are all multi-instrumentalists and at times use 3 keyboards to recreate the incredibly complex arrangements created by Richard Carpenter. The attention to detail paired with saxophone, trumpet, flute and many more instruments complete every song to perfection!
This show does not use tracks or pick up musicians like other shows. This is an 8 piece band that travels and performs all shows together. Additionally, they have a multi-media slideshow.
